They also keep their permanent collections and propose, in rotation, the discovery of major works of contemporary art: Andy Warhol, Jeff Koons, Cindy Sherman, Richard Serra…

With the help of his fiancée Mia Swier (whose family has created several bars in New York) and Danny Massare, the actor Darren Criss has imagined a place with the look of a cabaret where the pianist proposes his program but also responds to the requests of the room, which starts to sing in chorus. 6667 Hollywood Bld, Hollywood CA 90028 - +1 323 467 7788

It all began here in 1919 when Franck Toulet opened Frank’s café on Hollywood Blvd, partnering with Joseph Musso and hiring French chef Jean Rue to create a menu that has remained unchanged. A center of cultural life before the war, the place became the refuge of Marilyn Monroe or Elizabeth Taylor in the 50s before the young Johnny Depp made it his HQ, giving the place’s phone to receive his calls. Musso and Frank’s is now run by John Musso’s three granddaughters and still houses the 1934 bar, fixtures and furniture. You can enjoy the same French cuisine-bouillabaisse on Friday and duck confit on Sunday. The only concession to modernity is that since Quentin Tarantino immortalized the place in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, customers no longer order only the mythical Martinis but also Whisky Sours and Bloody Marys-Di Caprio’s and Brad Pitt’s favorite drinks in the film.
