La Défense also has its own Food Court with the best chefs at work, as well as craftsmen, such as the aesthetic butcher Hugo Desnoyer. A rare opportunity to taste starred cuisine at low prices; at any time of the day, on the spot or to take away...86 esplanade du Général de Gaulle, 92400 Courbevoie - 01 47 75 39 53If the fashion for food courts nowadays brings together the best and the worst, Table Square is one of the real success stories, with a cast that will make all food addicts go crazy. The huge terrace and the three pavilions designed by the team of Enia Architects bring together a perfect mix of established names and rising stars. We’ll join Daily Pic, the stronghold of three-starred chef Anne-Sophie Pic, who imagines her verrines as works of art: cauliflower soup, citrus panna cotta, coriander coral lentils; scrambled eggs, porcini mushroom cream, chestnuts and mushrooms; and, for dessert, a vanilla and mango rice pudding to die for. A few steps away, Grillé offers grilled or marinated meats and luxury kebabs from starred Inaki Aizpitarte and Fred Peneau, all selected by star butcher Hugo Desnoyer. An Italian-American trattoria, a Japanese canteen, a Belgian brasserie, and a corner dedicated to seafood by two-starred chef Olivier Bellin complete this high-flying, cosmopolitan and gourmet offer.

Saperlipopette
French, European, Gastronomic brasserie - 0.6 km from Mama
We no longer need to introduce the very media-friendly Norbert Tarayre... The former Top Chef contestant has set up shop in the center of Puteaux, which he is helping to revive with his impeccable, seasonal bistro cuisine.4 rue Mars et Roty, 92800 PuteauxWe like the chic decor with its charcoal gray facade, its dining room flanked by library walls and the zinc counter, all extended by a vast terrace facing the city’s theater. But here, one comes above all to taste the cuisine of Norbert Tarayre, whose buzz makes one forget that he is above all a remarkable chef with classical training, like Marc Veyrat and Bernard Loiseau. Here he treats a conquered public to impeccable bistronomy with organic eggs enhanced with leek fondue, smoked haddock and ponzu mayonnaise; squid ink risotto awakened by snacked chipirons or roasted veal and its smoked onion purée. All refreshed by food and wine pairings recommended by the sommelier, always very inspired.

Sir Winston
Bar, Restaurant - 4.5 km from Mama
The oldest pub in the capital has been given a makeover by the very creative Laura Gonzalez. Just a stone's throw from the Champs-Elysées, it is now one of the most sought-after places to eat, with its mix of Indian inspiration and British spirit.5 rue de Presbourg, 75116 Paris - 01 40 67 17 37Italian marble tables, wicker chairs, fabrics and carpets from Rajasthan or Tamil Nadu… From the entrance, the tone is set with a beautiful glass roof and a long dining room that seem to come straight out of Darjeeling Limited. Directed by Manoj Sharma, the cuisine is as good as the change of scenery. This chef, originally from New Delhi and raised in London, treats us to delicious scotch eggs, soft-boiled eggs coated with a crispy sausage meat spiced with curry and mustard seeds; lamb curry enhanced with fresh coconut or a beef tartar with Indian spices. There is also a speakeasy in the basement where you can sip witty cocktails, with a special mention for the Saitras (vodka infused with citrus zest, kumquat liqueur, lemon juice, cranberry nectar, bergamot syrup and fresh sage). The cool and trendy address that the top of the Champs-Elysées needed.

Octopus
French, Bar, Seafood - 1.1 km from Mama
A brasserie decor and, on the plate, Maison Rostang's signature cuisine. Octopus is THE restaurant of La Défense but also a bar with cocktails imagined by Sterling Hudson (ex barman of Moonshiner).1 esplanade de la Défense, 92800 - 01 84 20 06 58Located on the esplanade of La Défense in the heart of the Oxygen space, Octopus combines two key assets. A room with a contemporary design and bay windows that open onto the historic axis of the capital (the Arc de Triomphe, the Obelisk of Concorde, the Louvre Palace). A cuisine with Basque accents, imagined by Géraldine Rumeau under the guidance of the Rostang house, with real nuggets such as this Angus beef picanha or this white cuttlefish and espelette pepper risotto. Very popular at lunch and dinner, Octopus is also a perfect afterwork meeting place with cocktails by Sterling Hudson, from the Liquid Corp group – partner of the adventure. Our favorite? The Mecano, a Paloma revisited with Tequila, Tawny port infused with grapefruit, lime, gum arabic syrup and lemonade. Sip it at the sumptuous XXL central bar while watching the sun set over the city’s rooftop forest.

Just walk through the door and you'll find yourself in a small village in the Peloponnese. Bright white walls, azure wallpapers, hanging ropes and, on the plate, the best lamb in papillote and grilled octopus. Greece as we like it. Far, very far from the postcard.15 parvis de la Défense, CC Westfields les 4 temps, 92800 Puteaux - 01 40 90 09 09After Saint-Ouen and the Buttes-Chaumont, the Chantzios brothers -associated with chef Juan Arbelaez- have chosen to set up shop on the parvis de la Défense with the same ambition. To renew Greek cuisine with contemporary proposals, with Mediterranean influences. We love the subtly lightened classics: moussaka, skioufikta (small Cretan pasta with seasonal vegetables and goat cheese) or the pitas which come in four versions: lamb, chicken, beef or halloumi in veggie mode, accompanied by tzatziki, red onion pickles and fresh herbs. So many delights to take away or eat on the spot in the decor signed Olivier Delannoy and inspired by the Cretan city of Chania, the island’s ancient remains or the purple waters of the Aegean Sea…
