“Spent four days in London and this property was creative, clean and centrally located to visit the major sites. Great vibe with friendly, knowledgeable staff. Will stay there again on my next visit in the spring.”

“When I checked in I was presented with a form and told it was 'Just to cover the no smoking policy'. In fact it as a contract for authorisation to take payments. The burger I had in the first evening of my stay tasted bad. I ordered the roast vegetables, and was told it was broccoli. It wasn't roasted, it was fried and swimming in fat. The menu didn't say fries were included in the burger so I ordered the side, wish I hadn't. When having a drink in the evening, I saw one of the bar staff sneezing in their hand and wiping it on their jeans intead of washing their hands. Then just continued preparing cocktails. The bar had a strange general odour like open drains. When I tried to pay/settle up at the bar after having a couple of drinks I was made to wait around 10 mins while the staff dawdled around.”

“Looking to stay in the Shoreditch area mama shelter stood out. The staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was a problem and you feel they enjoy their jobs. The room was great and the food was excellent we had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. We will definitely look to book mama shelter on future trips.”

“Eclectic and lavish decor, excellent shower, mixed interaction with staff. My experience with Reception Staff was excellent but my son's experience was non professional. He tried to check in after I had. The staff member told him that I had not yet checked in and then chased him down the street yelling his name when she realised her mistake and then added to thye confusion by giving him a key to my room rather than his room which we had paid for and supplied the £50 per room required by the hotel as a deposit . She also found it impossible to pronounce his name. I did not find the mama Shelter website easy to uise.”

“The first stay for my 8yr old daughter and myself. From check in to check out the team we're attentive and super helpful, the food was delicious, the room comfortable and clean and the general atmosphere and decor of the hotel was quirky, cool and interesting. We loved our stay. Only thing that would make it better is if it was closer to an an underground line but that's minor.”

“Great location and I used the hotel regularly, but please sort out the bedrooms pillows: 1 - they are far too small, 2 - Every room I have stayed in they are long past their end of life. Replace them quickly. In future I will be asking for 6 pillows to be added to my room.”

“The room was nice enough but missed out on a few things. It was very loud any time anyone (mostly staff) were making any noise in the hall way. I had a disabled room so the bathroom was just one giant wet room making it hard to contain water. It was good that it has a fridge but then only 3 hangers. I stayed for 3 nights and needed more hangers. Check out took longer than needed also.”

“Everything ok, I liked the breakfast and generally the service. on the other side, as improvement areas, Room was quite small and gym unfortunately so small that I decided not to use it :/ Also check in at 3pm is quite late”

“I did an 8-night stay for work. It was well located near a bustling street. Generally the room was comfortable, but not having any closet space was really frustrating for a stay as long as 8 nights. We had a big pile of clothes growing on top of our suitcases,. The seating area and table is nice to have, but some of that could have gone to closet space. Overall it was comfortable and pleasant. Having breakfast available was nice. The breakfast staff was generally a bit curt and unpleasant (the hosts were usually nice).”

“The look and style of the hotel is very unique and certainly gives it a premium quality and the staff on reception were extremely welcoming and helpful for check in. The room itself had its own little unique quirks and luxury feel but unfortunately let us down when it came to trying to sleep. The bed itself was uncomfortable and we both found the pillows difficult to position due to their size and shape and found we both woke up with sore necks. The air conditioning unit in the room kept making odd noises throughout the night and there seemed to be a lot of noise from the corridor/other guests coming and going. We were also disturbed by housekeeping trying to get into our room before 9am, despite having late check out on our booking. After a bad night's sleep, we were really looking forward to breakfast and this did not disappoint! A fantastic selection of food and really high quality - a positive end to what had been a negative stay.”
